I like using google docs and have already been using it in my profession. Again, the benefit of google docs is that your are able to access google docs from any computer. Students can work on documents together without having to email documents back and forth. Google docs is great too because it automatically saves your documents. The only issue I see with google docs is students that do not have access to a computer at home and that they need an email address.
Accessibility is always a concern. As technology becomes less expensive, it will become more accessible. Students will be given a district email address through their Google account. As it becomes more of a daily part of their routine, families will see the need for technology and will gain access. This is the world we live in and families need to understand that technology is a priority. What do you think families can do who do not currently have access? Is this the district's responsibility, or the family's?
