might this mean for students who share their writing online?
I like being able to leave comments. So far I have only received 1 comment. Commenting is important in online communities to create discussions and provide feedback. Students that are sharing their writing online need guidelines regarding comments they are posting. Examples of this might be; use appropriate written language and to not attack the writer personally in their comments.

When students are given a different way to communicate, some will surprise you. Many students are not comfortable speaking in class, but will write very thoughtful comments.
